Attestation

Document Attestation Services in Dubai

Attestation is a chain, and every link must be completed in the correct order. Skipping a step or completing them out of sequence means starting again, which is why attestation so often takes weeks longer than people expect.

Dubai Legal Expert manages document attestation for individuals and companies across the UAE, covering educational, personal and commercial documents in both directions, into the UAE and out of it.

What We Do

The Attestation Chain in Both Directions

For a document issued abroad and used in the UAE, the traditional chain runs from notarisation or the issuing authority in the country of origin, through that country foreign ministry, then the UAE embassy there, and finally the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by Arabic legal translation.

The UAE is now a party to the Apostille Convention, which for documents from other member states can replace the consular steps with a single apostille. Requirements still vary between receiving authorities, so the position should be confirmed with whoever will accept the document before the process begins.

Our Approach

How We Manage Attestation

Correct Sequence

The chain is mapped before anything is submitted, since one step out of order restarts the process.

Both Directions

Documents brought into the UAE and UAE documents prepared for use overseas.

Apostille Advice

Whether an apostille applies to your document and whether the receiving authority will accept it.

Educational Documents

Degrees and transcripts, including the additional verification steps some authorities require.

Translation Included

Arabic legal translation arranged as part of the process rather than as a separate errand.

Realistic Timelines

An honest timeline at the outset, since attestation depends on authorities in more than one country.

Why Us

Why the Receiving Authority Decides the Requirements

The most common wasted effort in attestation is completing a chain that the receiving authority did not require, or omitting a step that it did. Requirements differ between employers, licensing bodies, courts, universities and government departments.

We therefore start by confirming what the receiving entity will actually accept, then work backwards to build the chain. It takes one enquiry and it routinely saves weeks.
