Liability Analysis
A clear view on fault, causation and whether the harm you suffered is legally recoverable in the UAE.
Civil claims cover the disputes that do not fit neatly into a commercial contract. Compensation for harm caused, unpaid personal obligations, property damage, professional negligence and the wide range of duties created by the UAE Civil Code.
Dubai Legal Expert acts for individuals and companies in civil dispute resolution across the UAE, from the first legal notice through to judgment and enforcement.
The UAE Civil Code creates obligations that exist independently of any signed contract. A person or company that causes harm through fault can be liable to compensate the loss, and obligations can arise from unjust enrichment, negligence and the misuse of a right.
Civil claims turn on establishing three things: that harm occurred, that the defendant caused it, and that the loss can be quantified with evidence. We build each element deliberately, because a claim that proves fault but cannot evidence the loss recovers very little.

The most common reason a civil claim underperforms is not weak liability but weak proof of loss. A claimant establishes that the defendant was at fault, then asks for a figure the court has no evidential basis to award, and the compensation ordered is a fraction of what was sought.
We work backwards from the award. Before filing we identify exactly what evidence supports each component of the claim, and where a component cannot be proved we either build the evidence or remove it rather than weakening the case with it.
